While its sibling, 5936, has been running around in oil stained GT red and blue, the 5937 has been hit with the CN paintbrush. I pulled into Prentice and tried to surmise what the current operation was. This SD40-2 was tied up on the west leg of the wye near the depot. There was a northbound cut sitting on the stub just north of where the diamond used to be with a FRED on the end. There was a southbound cut west of where the diamond used to be on the line to Ladysmith. My thinking was, either this was the run from the south (east) laying over and the train from the north hasnt been here to get their train or the train came down from Park Falls and is laying over. There were no signs of life so I grabbed the wedgie and went on my way. February 16, 2013.
